Spa Etiquette
For Your Comfort and Safety
We provide lockers, robes and slippers for your comfort during your visit. Guests visiting have access to a co-ed steam room and dry sauna. A swimsuit is required.
In keeping with our commitment to cleanliness, safety and hygiene, we sterilize and sanitize equipment for all services and treatments. Our spa is a smoke-free environment.
SUGGESTIONS
Many treatments require removal of all jewelry. Please leave your valuables at home as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
For the protections of your clothing, we ask that you wear the robe that is provided.
Depending on your scheduled service, we usually recommend removal of all clothing and undergarments, but it is your option to undress to your comfort level.
Please advise your therapist if you have any medical conditions or are taking any medications.
Drink plenty of water before and after your spa visit.
APPOINTMENT & SPA ETIQUETTE
Being on time for your appointment is greatly appreciated and a courtesy to other clients. We want to make sure you receive the benefits of your full ser vice and that others following your appointment will have the same opportunity. Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to your appointment. This will allow you time to change into a robe and slippers and relax before your service. Arriving early will allow you to enjoy our steam room, dry sauna, and spa eatables.
To ensure your next appointment with your preferred therapist at the time you desire, we recommend you schedule your appointment during checkout. If you ever feel you would be more comfortable or better served by another staff member, please let us know.
CANCELLATIONS/NO SHOW POLICY
To avoid being charged for your appointment, we request a minimum of 24 hours notice for any single service cancellation and a 48 hour notice for multiple services or spa packages cancelled. Special requirements may apply for group bookings. A $25 fee will be charged for a late cancellation.
No show policy: Scheduling and timely rendering of our services is an integral part of our customer satisfaction. Accordingly no shows will be charged in full for all scheduled appointments. Gift certificates may be forfeited if not in compliance with the no show policy.
CELLULAR PHONES
For the courtesy of other clients, please turn all cell phones off or on silent. If needed, please ask a Spa employee for help.
CHILDREN
Children ages 16 and up can receive a few select spa services, such as: waxing, nail treatments, cosmetic applications, refresher facial, acne facial, and refresher massage. Bergamos Spa Retreat in River Oaks must have signed written parental approval and a parent present at the time of the appointment.
For the Younger Guests- Bergamos Spa Retreat in River Oaks appreciates the value of spa services for minors and respects the importance of extending the therapeutic relationship to include the parent or guardian of clients who are between the ages of 16 and 18. In order to receive spa services, clients between the ages of 16 and 18 have the option of having a parent or guardian in the room for the service that is being provided.
For the comfort of all spa clients, children under the age of 16 will not have access to the spa relaxation areas. For the courtesy of others, children under the age of 16 are not allowed in the spa.
DEPOSITS
We require a credit card number to hold all reservations, a deposit for large parties of 3 or more is required. If you are scheduling an appointment for another person you are responsible for the cancellation policy on all services you scheduled..
GIFT CARDS (CERTIFICATES)
For your convenience all gift certificates are in the form of a Bergamos gift card. You must present this card when redeeming your certificate. Gift certificates are for a cash value. Gift cards (certificates) are not refundable once purchased, or replaceable if lost or stolen. Gift Cards may not be used for gratuity. You may always reload or add money to your Bergamos Spa Retreat Gift Cards.
GRATUITIES
Tipping is always left to the discretion of our clients. Unless noted, gift certificates for our spa packages do not include gratuities. A usual tip for a spa service ranges from 15%-20%. Our check out desk will be happy to process your tips.
Spa Finder and Spa Wish Gift Certificates
Bergamos Spa Retreat is happy to accept SpaFinder and Spa Wish Gift Certificates. Once a SpaFinder or Spa Wish gift card is used any remaining balances are put onto your account to future use. We cannot give back a SpaFinder or Spa Wish gift card once presented. Due to Packages being already discounted as a Package Price, Spa Finder and Spa Wish Gift Certificates may not be used toward any package services.
